TwitchCon Returns to San Diego With Live Inflight Gaming Tournament

The Twitch blog revealed that TwitchCon will be back in San Diego for a full weekend on Nov 13 through 15 2026. Organised by Twitch, the three-day schedule includes shows, game demos, Meet & Greets, panels and a variety of interactive experiences that can only be caught live at the event.

On Nov 12, creators will participate in the inaugural “First In-Flight Gaming Tournament.” Southwest Airlines®, the official airline partner, chartered a flight from Austin to San Diego where streamers competed while livestreaming via Starlink connectivity. Viewers could watch the competition unfold, engage with chat in real time, and see creators play games aboard the aircraft.

Throughout the weekend attendees also had access to community meetups, giveaways, and sponsor-led activities such as a Lord of the Rings D&D one-shot led by Critical Role and a Blade Runner 2099 panel hosted by Prime Video. All details were provided directly by Twitch’s own announcement. ¹
