Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Adds New Map “Kill Block” on Launch
On its launch day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 introduced a dynamic multiplayer map called Kill Block, featuring modular battlegrounds that reconfigure each match.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, 2026, adding a brand‑new multiplayer map named Kill Block hidden inside the West Bridge Advanced Military Training Facility. The map consists of three modular sections—two outer End Slabs and one central Central Slab—that rearrange after every round, forcing teams to rethink routes, sightlines, and cover on the fly.
With more than 500 possible configurations, the layout changes between matches and throughout rounds, creating hundreds of unique combinations. The design supports both 3v3 and the new 10v10 Gunfight mode at launch, with future support planned for additional core Multiplayer modes.
The map includes weather simulation arrays capable of rain or snow, affecting visibility and tactical conditions. In Gunfight, all players receive random loadouts; teams swap sides after the first round, and after round two the slabs shift to a new combo while players get another random loadout. This pattern repeats every two rounds until one team reaches six wins. No custom loadouts are available in this mode, emphasizing teamwork, weapon proficiency, and tactics. If neither side is eliminated before the end of a round, an Overtime Flag deploys, forcing both teams to converge and capture it to claim victory. 1
